The Academy of Entrepreneurship was established in 1993, and our district has been a member of the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education since that time.
Our Academy faculty were instrumental in developing the Florida curriculum frameworks for entrepreneurship education, and these standards were used as source material for the development of the national entrepreneurship education standards. The entrepreneurship curriculum is an articulated Tech Prep program, and students may earn up to 12 college credit hours for courses completed in the Academy.
We moved into our specially designed Academy building in January, 2000. Our facility consists of a classroom, a computer lab, a corporate/conference area, storage room, offices, and a 1200 sq. ft. school store. Our faculty consists of Mrs. Donna Martin, Academy Director; and Ms. Ashley Gaffney.
