Our program was established in 1993, and our district has been an associate member of the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education since that time.

Our Academy faculty were instrumental in developing the Florida State Curriculum Frameworks for entrepreneurship education, and these standards were used as source material for the development of the national entrepreneurship education standards. The entrepreneurship curriculum is an articulated Tech Prep program, and students may earn credit for the GEB1011 (Business Administration, "Introduction to Business") course at Santa Fe Community College at the completion of their sophomore year in the Academy.

Our curriculum is project-based learning featuring teamwork, relevant and contextual teaching, technology training, work-based learning, and worksite experiences.

The focus of our program is to foster and support the American free enterprise system, to nurture the potential for innovation, to emphasize good citizenship, to promote high ethical standards, and to enhance civic consciousness.
